Poem

Since I have not posted on my blog for awhile (according to David) I thought that to start off I would allow you all to read one of my poems. I wrote this in high school and like almost all of my poetry it is unconventional and titleless.

Sparks of copper
shatter the darkness,
the whole world
is transformed into
a glowing ball
of light.

The sound of
a trumpet breaks
the sound barrier,
a gold box
is opened and
red specks fall
upon the earth.

Plague and disease
silence the cries
of the ill,
the aroma of
death fills the
air.

Jesus is kneeling
before the throne
of God on
behalf of the
saints, tears of
blood stain His
white robe.

God places His
right hand on
His Son's shoulder,
"You will come
to relieve them
soon, Holy Spirit,
go out and
give the saints
my peace and joy."

He removes His
right hand from
His Son's shoulder
and covers the
saints with it.
